Hello from the newbie, plus an interesting link
Hello, everyone. I just joined Made By Many a couple of weeks ago and decided to get head first into the MxM world by putting up my first post on the company blog! Some of the things I write about may (but not always) be cross-posted on my own blog, which you can find here. Made By Many is proving to be a very interesting place to work, from what I’ve seen in my first few days.
I found this interesting site that I thought I’d share. It’s by Tropicana, called An Orange America - essentially a site that provides live Twitter analysis through an abstract visualization of election-related words. It represents the most-used terms as a series of bubbles. For stronger connections between words (’economy’ and ‘health care’ for example), there are thicker lines connecting the two. The bubbles are also shaded red, blue or a combination of the two according to which party aligns with that word more. I noted that the word ‘lie’ is completely red, while ‘economy’ is more blue than red!!!
